Completely understand what you're saying about the smaller loop with having 2 small kids who ride myself. Last year i didn't have many hours on a bike under my belt so the learners track was great for the morning then in the arvo i had the confidence to get on the big track.

The advanced learner loop is a great idea.

Thankfully this week has screamed past, just one more day! Best news this afternoon is that I got given a brand new Mitsi Triton ute to demo for the weekend - perfect for Sunday!

by the time we get back from doing the sweep loop it is always after 4.00pm, we use working farms so stock needs to be put back etc, the loops open at 9.45 so 5 hours to get out the gate before it closes is a pretty good day

Really cool ride, hothot weather, sign in people were friendly, cool stuff
Only gutting bit (aint there always one?) at one point I got cross rutted, bailed, hit my head on the bars and was down for a while lying face down feeling pretty yucky. People just rode right past my feet (I landed a bit off the side of the track, very visible though), not a single person came and asked if I was ok, pretty messed up I thought. I don't expect people to come rescue me if they don't want, but if I saw someone lying face down with a crashed bike I'd at least ask if they were alright :/ Once the daze wore off I picked my bike up, a marshall came past and asked if I needed help (was ok by that point) but yeah, really shocked no one offered to help or anything of the 20 or so people who went past in that time.
Anyway, not be a bummer, it was cool fun, good job Mr Moto crew, Glen Murray is always cool

Yeah that sucks, unfortunately you had the wrong 20 people go past you because for every one of them that didn't stop i know a person that would have, was a good day,hot and dusty and rough in parts(gotta take the good with the bad),but still a great days fun........Cheers Scott,Craig and the MR's Team

Yeah, normally people are so friendly/helpful on trail rides, that's what was so surprising! Couldn't believe it.

I hd a great day and was lucky that on the 2nd lap around I didn't do so well on 2 bog sections and couple of guys came to give me a hand out - one swallowed my bike!
However L-Rider and I stopped on a hill as there was a young kid down (where was his adult....? ) but no one at all stopped for him. We got him back up but the walk up to my bike almost killed me in my gear. But thankfully a guy asked if I needed a hand to get back going again and was really great.

95% of the riders were great but when you need it most it is the 5% that go past! Shame really as the more we help each other the bigger and better the sport gets.

BUT....WICKED WICKED DAY. This is my favourite ride and will keep coming back and will keep telling new riders about it. WELL DONE

I think that it's rude to ride past someone that has obviously had a crash and is still lying there; especially given that it's in a trail ride - like scenario! I for one always make sure those that are even pulled off to the side of the track are OK, simply giving them the thumbs up or something; it's just being polite.

On the other hand I thoroughly enjoyed the day, the track was awesome! Had a good mix and was marked out well. A little rough and dusty but it was good fun! I managed two laps of the big 32km loop. Not bad for someone like myself who only gets out on the bike once or twice a month! Rode at my own pace with a few other friends. It was awesome. I always really enjoy the MR Motorcycles rides! Definitely one of the better series. The beer seems to taste better too? ha. I heard there were something like 1100 riders there?! Crazy.

Props must go out to the marshals, they did their job properly! On both my laps, the same 3 came past me, all on MR Motorcycles KX's. Number #3, #114 and #900. Not too sure who they were? (Scott411?), but all looked to be having fun! (Anyone else see them?). Quite skilled riders from what I could see. Although they came past me like I was bolted to the ground, they made sure they were safe passes and slowed down a lot when around the younger ones on the trail! Good stuff. All the marshals looked good on the Kawasaki's, like a team! It must be awesome for Scott and Craig to see.

    Bring on Paparimu!

No piccies today, managed to get 4 hrs 13 mins on the hour meter, 4 and a bit laps (don't ask!) Helped a couple of kids out from under their hondas and in both cases Dad turned up after said kid was ready to go again, lamenting the fact the little buggers are now faster than him Sophie zipped round 3 times and Grace, who now disappears into the distance did 4 and is about 10mins a lap quicker than me
This is my favourite ride of the year and certainly didn't disappoint this time.
Roll on 2011, cheers Scott and "one or two" helpers......

that would have been Luke Ramsey, Hamish Stone and Van Major (who posts as Sunday Casual on here) they helped us out tody, Hamish is one of our parts guys, all three of those boys can ride pretty good,

awesome ride today, 1115 riders, which is a record for us, thanks to everyone that showed up, it was dusty but we can not control the weather,

as for poeple riding past while you are face down, its pretty disappointing, most of the time people all help each other, shame to see, not to sure how this happens,

Big thanks to the Pukekohe Motorcycle LCub medic crew who helped us out today as well,
