    That was my first thought too, but I happened to be looking at an MC19 last night, and they have that two round light business going on.

    I hope he checked if you've got a rear reflector as well....

    [QUOTE=imdying;1129922512]That sums it up.

    The only fail here is riding a bike with all of those faults.

    You can get yourself a trailer number plate light from pretty much any auto parts store. Wire the two wires from it to your taillight (not your brake light!) and you're done. They're ugly, but cheap and easy to fit/remove.

    thanks for the idea... ill look into it

    It's a 1989 model. Just how did it pass wofs for the last 21 years without being picked up? That's if there's no downward facing clear bit...
    Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Basically... yeah! How indeed?! On the one hand, we have people whinge that paying for a WOF is a joke because they don't check everything perfectly, and on the other, people that bitch when they get failed on basic items like this. I for one never want to be a WOF inspector.

    From what I recall there isn't a clear portion there; the owner was lamenting Honda's trick of using weird clips and plastic pieces molded into the fairing to retain the taillight... apparently after 21 years it's all a bit brittle.

    It's no biggy OP, just fit a light and you're off. If you're desperate for a warrant, steal a push bike front light from your mum and tape if above the plate.
