Aaron and I had some great close racing at PSS r1 this weekend. (Manfeild)
Him on the Ninja (ex250), me on the Hyosung (GT250r - Carbed model).

I found the bikes very similar in performance. The only way past down the straights, was getting on the gas earlier than he, and Drafting.

It was close exciting racing, plenty of lead changes - and the result not confirmed till the chequered flagged dropped. Just the way racing is suppose to be.

What's that you ask? Who won?

Well for the record seen you asked ..... I beat the Kawasaki rider 2 out of 2 on this occasion. Next round might be different.
But then in the second race we were both given the learn by the rider on the on gpx250.

    Come join the party!
Dam i would of loved to be there~!, you all should come up for puke or the next hampton round, ill be there at taupo whenever it is.

So racing the mighty GPX isn't a bad idea after all!

Rule 22-13. Has been there for a year at least.

Nothing in "proposed rule changes", so after overwhelming submissions saying "don't stuff with something working so well" I assume they've canned the proposals to change heaps per the draft I saw posted a 5 or so months ago.

The commission felt something was broken, but were told clearly the only broken thing is the broken arses of club leaders and riders who fail to contribute anything to fostering Junior RR

I suggested MNZ refuse a few permits now and again to clubs who were not adhering to the first rule in the book, see page minus 2, "Fostering the sport...
I know of only one club making an effort. Let me know if there are any others!

Thanks Pete,My browser wont access chapter 22 for some reason and I was of the impression the old rules had been removed when the new rules were posted up for the coming season

No worries Billy. I think the Production Light rules are fine after a first season try out. Most importantly they seem to mesh in well with the varied needs around the country, including racing amongst the existing 150's.
I'm sure looking forward to seeing your team and efforts come South for the Nats.
Well done Billy and much appreciated.

Yip,I think Jared Pike and young Seth proved last year,If theyre ridden properly they can be alot of fun and theres been some good racing between Max Woodruffe/Ken Dobson and Blair Mason at the AMCC rounds as well,Regretfully the Bulk of the North islanders appear to be happy getting within 5 secs of a good laptime and think theyve outgrown the class and move on to nowhere. We are currently making good progress with young Simon Volmer from Auckland,Only done 3 racedays and 2 test days and Im picking hed beat most of if not all the guys that competed at the Actrix series.Hes totally dedicated to the cause to the point hes trying to rake up the money to do the South Island rounds after Xmas,Best move Ive seen from anybody from the NI streetstock/club scene since I sent young Alex Bowers your way.

In the past the southern Streetstock community has provided bikes, training and support to young northerners Sam Smith, Glen Skatchill, Avalon Biddle, Kenneth Jones, Luke Jamieson, La Salle Carr and Dan Mettam. The "welcome mat" is out for any more you want to send down, any time.

OK,Weve got 6 bikes now going to the South Island for the Nationals in our transporter,2 are still available for lease,$1050.00 gets you a raceprepped machine capable of winning the inaugaral Prolite 250 NZ Championship,The bike will be transported to all three rounds in the South Island for that price and all you need do is enter it for each round and transport/feed yourself,Total estimated cost for a North Islander $2000.00,For that you can win a New Zealand championship,Less than the cost of tyres for a Superbike for 1 round.

IT just doesnt get any easier or more affordable than this
