However, I can recommend the drugs they use for gastroscopies, instant off the planet. The staff are absolutely fantastic too.

The perscription for recovery sounds mighty fine to me, rest, no stress etc. I was thinking a move to Rarotonga was on the cards, now all I have to do is win Lotto and all will be sweet
At least you can blame Maha for those... Jill reckons if she gets an ulcer it'll be my fault...

I like the relax and no stress route! You guys know you can always pop in for a bit of R&R here. We've got a BBQ now, too!

Wonderful news Ed. And long awaited too. I'm sure Mrs Bear will keep a close eye of you with this next stage of your recovery. But it's brilliant to hear you are well on your way to a full recovery.

Thinking of you from down here. Will sort out a day to come and visit when I'm up. Dates Im there are 19th - 25th December. I'll bring scones!

Sounds good! Jill's working through this year, we'll take our holidays sometime in Jan/Feb, so let me know which days suit and I can let you know her hours as they vary.

Ooooo -perhaps I could meet some fellow KB riders before the ride and tag along? Loved the Wellington one last weekend, and it would be great to meet some of you.

Oh, I had my Ultra-sound scan this afternoon, too. The look on the radiologist's face when she saw my bulge was priceless! Anyway it appears that it is as I thought, just a weakness in the muscle wall and she referred to a Doctor on hand who agreed that I should keep an eye on it as I exercise and see if it reduces.

She said, of course, that if I get any pain with it or it grows, to go back to my GP. But there's no hernia or foreign body, no mass of a tumour or anything and the muscle wall is intact.
