Here's one for all the bad ass wannabees. I've got to admit though, I thought the stunt rider was pretty good.

First naff thing I noticed was 'the-baseball-hat-under-the-helmet' thing, it all went down-hill after that.

    'cept the riding.

They are probably just trying to appeal to a younger market as their current market is aging and dying off.

I just dont see your issue with it.

It makes me want to be one of the cool kids that own one, which is what advertising is, and what it does.

here's an interesting factoid: the guy who pulls up second (he plays "Happy" in Sons of Anarchy) is the real deal patched 1%er bad ass biker guy. the tattoos you see in the show are real. He started as a TA (Technical Adviser) on the show, and (I think) riding coach and then Sutter put him in front of the camera. He is in the bad ass category, not the wannabe category. Just FYI.

and as others have said, shit song, cool stunts and nice bikes.

I'd sack him then, his advice hasn't made the show any less queer than it would have been anyway.

I want to see someone pull up, first or second ?? Not happy corrr, thought i was gonna see a movie star or somit !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

You don't think that's true of Yamaha or Honda or Ducati?

Without an image to aspire to there is no earthly reason for a GSXR or FZR or whatever the latest R is that's doing the rounds. There is no useful reason for these items so a desire has to be created to want them anyway.

Anyone who denies that part of the reason they bought their bike (other than strict <400c commuter perhaps) was because of the way it made them feel is lying.

So Harley says that their bike will make you feel good? So does everyone else

    Whats the problem?
Would have to disagree with this. I brought mine because i simply like the way it looks and rides. No image required. I had a Harley for a few years and ended up getting rid of it for a couple of good reasons. 1 was because it handled like shit and 2 because they were being taken over by wannabe's. Actually got nothing against the bike itself too much. They were reliable enough and once you spent a few grand on them they sort of went ok.

So you bought your current bike because of how it looks (partly), well that is related to image I reckon.

As for the handling like shit, do you mean it didn't handle like a sports bike?

I am new to Harley, but I wanted a bike I could just cruise on. And the harley does that for me. I don't ride fast, I don't corner knee down and don't need to be in front of every vehicle on the road.

So for me the harley is a good ride, I grin when I am on it, it is a simple bike, but the sportys are supposed to be pretty reliable. I am sure you can dredge up many horror stories. You could for any model or brand these days given technology like google.

I imagine it is more about picking the ride that will make you most happy and suit the style of riding you do. For me now, it is a cruiser. The cruiser I chose happens to be a harley. I tried a few japanese ones, and didn't grin, the trumpys were just out of my price range so the harley it is. And so far I am loving it.

Don't really see what owning a triumph has to do with it. Find it a far better bike than the Harley, simple as that really. For me anyway.

I got my Hurricane die cast too by the way. Cost me a bit more than the $2 i offered you though.

You are quite right. There are in fact plenty of cruisers out there that are a long way cheaper than Harley that do the same job. As for image...i brought mine because I liked it and not because everyone else likes them.
