Must be the season for it, Elaine (Kelvin & Elaine have been on some of our Naki rides) is in hospital with a broken leg. Caught her leg while hopping off the bike and fell against a fence and the bike fell on her leg.
    ouch!!

We've done a post accident "incident report" and decided that the fence should be relocated and a yellow line painted on the grass !

Orange Marker Cones, Hi-Viz, Safety Glasses, Hard Hat, Jandels, what could possibly go wrong?
How long you off for Dino?
My shoulder is still a bit tender, good range of movement but it lets me know when its tired
Thought I had my baby all set to go until I noticed Hugger was fouling muffler I managed to break the pannier lower mount during the adjustment process
Elaine has had surgery and is looking as happy as someone with a broken leg can look . Kelvin is looking a bit sheepish Just one of those silly dismount accidents
Need a Nooles update Are you out there Mr Nooles?
We need to start a "whos next" sweepstake

I'm ok, sort of, got the cast off last week and went to a pretty dark place for a couple of days as the elbow was deformed to buggery and wouldn't move
The arm is sort of moving now and is permanently bent in a KTM riding position so not sure how I'm gunna ride the Beema.Bike is just about back together, its amazing how you can use your toes, teeth, head etc in place of your right arm, cant wait to wipe my arse with my right hand tho

Good to hear you on the mend Nooles. When you think to be back riding ? (or does Mrs Nooles look at this thread)
As for this sweepstake, Is it only open to first timers or are those previous "recipients" eligible for re-injury ?

23 years of riding and well over 100,000ks that is the first and hopefully the last injury I receive . As soon as the Doc say's your good to go I'm on the bike and gone, there is well over 600hrs of annual leave now and the bosses at Fonterra are pissed to say the least
Just got called to have a shower, the Mrs still has to wash me, I'm gunna milk this as long as I can LOL

Thats an injury that makes others cringe when you tell them about it

Better yet lets oranise the first ever "everybody stay on ya bike" ADV ride.
