I had heaps of fun, thanks guys! I felt I learned quite a bit, and it really helped my confidence, especially with the cornering! Yay the Hunuas!

Stuff wot I lerned:
- If you think/feel you should be in a lower gear going into a corner, you should.
- If it looks like a corner is badly cambered coming up to it, it probably is.

- "Ride your own ride." I've really grokked that now.
- Follow the lines of more experienced riders. They probably have it more right than you do.
- It is really easy to change a rear/brake light.

- Leaning: I can do it.

- Squid = sportsbike rider with too little gear. Or anyone else similarly wince-worthy.
- "Ducati: Making mechanics out of riders since they were invented."

- Why are Hondas gay? "Honda apparently rhymes with homo."

Got a massive scare when I was hooning along the motorway in convoy with people (gijoe1313?) at 100kph, and a Highway Patrol car zooms up past us. "Shiiiiit, did he see the L Plate?"

Apparently not... *whew*

thought one of the things you would have learnt was that on most occasions those guys eat and talk for longer than they ride! haha

just cause you haven't seen me doesn't mean i haven't been out riding the highways gremlin! I have other people to ride with other than you!

AND they don't lead me down gravel twisty roads at night in the rain

And yes, the bike is downstairs about 10m in direct line from me!!

you really will say anything for a bite wont ya... Im good with my back roads around the naki/central north island thanks! Its just the auckland backroads I have begun to forget how to get to, but somehow there is a red flag going up as to you being the one to remind me how to get to them all!

Would like to but got family stuff on. Being a dad to 2 young girls doesn't allow for much free time.

I blame all the X chromosomes and estrogen in my household...

Now I suppose being called a girl might get some kind of reaction from a guy but I'm guessing it's not terribly insulting to the actual girl riders among us?

speak for yourself, being called a girl for not riding, doesn't make it any less offensive just 'cause you are of the female gender!

and more importantly, some of you getting called girls is offensive to us chicks! haha
