Heres a few more pics. Coming down the last gnarly part reminded me of the Devils Staircase - makes me think its dooable on the DR but the Rock Garden is a tyre shredder.

That first pic of the last bit to the summit was it for me - I just couldn't be rooted...haha. It was back to the intersection for a laydown and food for this cat

Did anyone 'clean' that section in the first pic on the way up?
It was a bugger when Shane and I first explored this track last year, off camber, always wet, rocky, covered in tree roots. Definately a place where you need a bit of a push from a few friends, hardest section on the track I reckon.
Respect to anyone who had the momentum, skill and luck to make it up that section un-aided!
I hope a few of you guys are up for a re-run when I return to NZ in a few weeks... All this is making me very green and jealous

Yep made it up the first time with you Gav and made it up again on the last ride, its a tricky area and you have to get the right line first time no second chances on this bit.
Its worth it getting up there the views are awsome

I got up OK - don't know about clean, may have put a foot down but coming down was a bit ugly had to save a sliding front end even before getting to the steep part,

Thanks mate, it's a love hate relationship

. We take turns at dragging each other around....sometimes she wins and ends up on top.
