I think he was all good, finished the ride and all. From what I could see he just had a bend handlebar and that was all.

There was a certain guy there who looked alarmingly like you ...

Here's the map of wot we done.

Hey TA, was it Harmon's track you went down? You would have hung a right just once the Summit road hits the main road?
It's a public road? No gates etc? Might have to investigate

Normally start work at 5am. Hard to sleep through past 4am when my alarm usually goes off.

Bloody hell, 5am is bed time! I think if my employer tried to get me into work at 5am I'd quit, unless it had something to do with warming up Swedish bikini models

Ah, that takes me back ...

I never saw any accidents, everything looked fine when I caught up on the Port Levy-Pigeon Bay Rd after a late start. I have stiffer bars on the DR to make them harder to bend.

Harmons Track sounds right. No gates, just watch out for horse riders near the bottom and around the few houses on the flat.

Must have been on the port hills I guess before I met up with them.

Cool, now that the DR is feeling more how I like it after adjusting the suspension, I am keen to go find tracks like that. Might scour the hills on Google Maps and see what shows up ...

Oh, figured that the Dusty Butt, being about 500k per day, would be what we rode, repeated five times, then doing the same thing again the next day!

    Bloody hell!

Hell of a lot more than 14% gravel though. Surely someone is keen to do that on road bikes?

yea, normally closer to 50%+ unsealed stuff including dirt, gravel, rocks, 4x4 ruts and bogs, fords and other interesting and sometimes challenging terrain.

Few pics from the last route scouting mission early December over here.

WNR.........Was thinking about TaiTap pub, via Evans, around the bays to Diamond Harbour, Gebbies. A few may want to go Dyers Pass, Summit Rd, Evans Pass.

The ones going Evans Pass would leave at the usual time. The few going via the Summit Rd could leave at 6.20pm.

Next weeks "Gravel 101" on Sunday is Western Valley Rd. TA and HOT Lady are welcome to show us how to handle the gravel. Meet at BK 1.00pm, depart around 1.30pm
And remember ...... if it hasn't got one of "Uncle Flip's" prosthetic kickers it isn't a real motorbike!!!
