the rain has been falling all arvo & to-night the Old man is pretty soggy right & Nevis xings with this rain you will most prob need snorkels or big water wings but in say'n that if I wasn't do'n the DB I would give it a go withya's it would be one hell ofva trip

Yep had about 10mm last night within 2 hours, so it would probably be a bit wet up the old man. The nevis is running at around 17 cumecs so probably would be difficult to cross although in the right part most likely still possible.

we go 22mm over night clear skys looking straight west so hopfuly it's all gone untill next week as we want the grass to grow

Doesn't seem to be a lot of interest out there, think the nay sayer posts may have put people off, pity, there is plenty of other cool rides to do down south that are not nescessarily effects by rain, ie: Skippers, Mavora Lakes, Mt Buster, Mt Bee etc etc Will wait and see what the weather does between now and then and see who comes out of the woodwork
