Yea going to the KDX from the 125 is going backwards but I bet you would love the power if more down low is what you crave...so go the ktm200. As someone said like a 125 but with decent power everywhere.

A KDX alround is a good TRIAL bike. But no MXer thats for sure.

comes down to the rider, i won the south island supercross champs in teh expert class on a KDX220 once, and won 2 races at Tokoroa the same year,

KDX's are old in technolgy these days, good bikes that go well, but from a 125 you would be dissapointed in the handling,

i wish kawasaki would make a new one,

a guy in waiuku has just put a KDX200 motor into a 07 RMZ250 frame, and done a very nice job of it, i have not ridden it yet but those that have are wrapped with it,

when 5 or so year old 250F's go bang big time it is not economic to rebuild them, so the rolling chassis do come up for sale,

its horses for courses, alot of poeple find a 250 2t power to much, KDX's put power on the ground very well, even in there very old chassis they put alot of riders to shame,

you should join Booom in the KDX haters club

Scott that is a very nice job! Best of both worlds!!

And I'm one of those that found the 250 power a little to much! Riding is a lot more pleasurable going to the Ktm200. Rather be riding a 2hundy hard than hesitant on a 250.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

haha yeh well i just think that a kdx in a full blown af chassis is a bit of a waste... even a rm125 in that chassis would have been nice. its kinda like ripping the engine out of a rx7 and putting a corolla engine in it so its easier to handle.

it certainly is well done though
