The big problem with the conspiracy nutters who get sucked into this nonsense, is that you can't reason with them.

They are worse than the worst religious nutters - indeed their obsessive beliefs are proselytised repeatedly to anyone who will listen - and everyone who won't. Trying to offer an alternative view will be met with a self-superior smirk, and the fall-back retort - "That's what they want you to think...".

When the "planned earthquake" and half-million deaths don't eventuate, they will simply claim that their exposing of the plot foiled it, and move onto the next conspiracy quackery.

Lets think about this for a second: There's a big fault line. Near that fault line are some nuclear reactors. The government is studying what could possibly happen if there is sizemic activity near said reactors... obviously a huge conspiracy.

After Katrina and a few other natural disasters have been badly handled by FEMA it's not overly surprising that they're getting their shit together really.

I wouldn't put anything past any govt, especially when they need a distraction from something else they're up to. They're up to something. Fish and Birds don't just die en masse, whale pods don't throw themselves on to beaches for no good reason etc... Funny how sounds travels so much betterer under water. HAARP would make sense to me.

There is little activity on the New Madrid fault according to the USGS, especially in comparison to the rest of the world (go back a little further, there were 7.7's off the Bonin Islands and not a media peep)...

Whilst i'm at it, I don't believe that the earthquakes that have been jolting and shaking the earth are responsible to knocking us off our axis either. There have been bigger shakes and worse catastrophes throughout history, massive asteroid impacts, the works... yet we're still here.

how long have the reactors been there? wouldn;t you put emergency plans in place before you build it?

Hurricane Katrina is almost 6 years old... there have been plenty of disasters over the decades... and yet they're just getting ready? Tin foil hat it if you like, but it does seem suspicious...
