Excellent choice and a damn good price TBH. Always use 95/98 in it, 91 makes the knock sensors go spastic, have seen them on 91 pulling 165rwkwcompared to 180-190rwkw for decent gas. The ring wear problem to my knowledge was sorted by the end of VT2 model, and was only occurring in the manual versions, 1250rpm overtaking was too much stress

Get some headers, exhaust, cold box and MAFless tune into it and enjoy a huge amount of grunt (and sideways)
Want to swap for a Hilux....
So when was the last time you drove one? They run a low/flat 14 from factory, mid to low 13s with a MAFless tune, exhaust and cold box. They weigh barely any more than an R34 GT-R (I'm assuming, that would be the kind of comparison you are making) yet have the same power and more torque from factory.
Go away.
yep the ls1 is very de tuned, the even changed the firing order! from the vett model
dam aussies!
headers make a real dif,i used factory hsv headers off trade me, 4 into 1 type, recon the work better than those silly crome after market things.
if i was to get a nother,it would have to be a manaul this time,
didnt realy think the cold box did much,as the stock box works well, unless you go maf less
a mate of mine has a ls2 powered clubsport that he has supercharged..........you dont need a sterio with a supercharger screaming its head off
Its pretty sweet to drive!
Anyone want a canopy thing?
Here's my ute.One owner (me) 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab 4wd auto. 5.7 (350ci) Hemi 345hp.
You can comfortably fit 4 adults, slightly less comfortably (for the 3 in the back anyway)5 adults, a bike or 2 on the back and tow a trailer full of crap and still get nearly 7 k's per liter. Unloaded it will easily get 12 k's per liter (about 9l per 100k) at 100 kph.
Put your boot in it and you can just about see the gas needle drop.
If I wasn't a broken arse bike salesman...I'd love one of those mate!
