    I was enjoying it until he kicked the bike sideways in the air on a couple of jumps - but otherwise it was just serious fast smooth riding.I'm not impressed by stunts - just ride the thing hard out for yourself,not the crowd.Looks like he was my kind of rider.

    I thought the reason for getting the bike sideways is to carry more speed through the jump without getting too much height? i.e. is a functional manoeuvre rather than just flashy?

    That sucks for his family..especially the kids..I know I will think twice before riding as hard when I have kids...Guess it is the calculated risks we all take when we go out riding...least he went doing something he loved..

    Scrubbing off speed. Less time in the air means getting power to the ground sooner.
