    Just got back.

    35W headlights rule!
If you keep the revs up.
And don't really need to see much.

That's the closest I've come to coming several croppers on a ride.
The front and back were deflecting off the edges of rocks as I wasn't seeing them as clearly as usual. The DR is much more stable in this regard with the extra weight.

You've just to to ride faster to make better use of the stiffer suspension - oh wait

    Faster?
Not with 13psi and a 100 section rear tyre.
My mountain bike has a wider tyre.

Can't wait to get a 120 on the back and a proper 90 width on the front.

Drop in when you get here. Not before though. That'd be silly.

Yeah... bit of a warm one today.
I've wanted to do that one for a while, despite the small technical issues it was a good day. I did'nt take any pics 'cause the SD card was not put back in the camera Hopefully Nordie will be along shortly with some pictographs
Next time we go from the Penzance end

    That was fun.
    Smelly but fun.

As I got home I realised I havn't done a proper adventure ride with the new bars on the DR.
This would have been a really good test

Not many photos as the riding was a bit time consuming...

    Ready to go...
    Topo, Jatz, Umopom & NordieBoy...

Half way up the Maungatapu Jatz decides to strip the DR down and rebuild it...

Planed the head, gave the cylinder a quick hone and we were on our way.

Warewolf dropped in for a visit too.

Just over the summit and Jatz also decided he didn't like the new right rear blinker either...

Umopom and I both got wasp stings. Him on his manly chest and for me it was just a pain in the neck.

Topo also killed a blinker but just from DRZ vibration. Get those wheels balanced!

From Elaine Bay over to Penzance from the summit...

Wouldn't want to do that in the morning or within a few days of rain. The green moss covered clay would be lethal.

Cool tree. Jatz decided he just had to hug it...

Nothing on the bike is sharp and/or hot near this area. Only thing I can think of is gorse inside my sock

I didn't even know it'd happened until I had a shower and it started stinging like crazy.

Umo's rear tyre hasn't even got any Padmei km's left in it. It's as bald as, well, Padmei.

I want to do this track the other way. In a dry spell. On the DR.

Yip.... Elaine Bay to Penzance track :

I would say it was rough and would be treacherous heading down into Penzance if it was even slightly damp. Come to think of it.... all the rocky bits would be interesting when wet
O.K. on a big bike for an experienced rider, I will head back through at some stage 'cause MrsJatz wants to have a look, and I'll get some pics of the gnarlier bits
This is just my opinion, Topo will be along soon to tell us it was nothing and he'd happily ride a unicycle through there, with bald a tyre ( and he probly could too)
Even the ride out from Penzance on the seal is a stunner.
