Years ago I was working at a school in Rotorua (Mary McKillop or Edmund Rice Collage) cant remember, but it was a religious school. Anyway, during the lunch break, the school band got up on stage in the hall and done an amazing cover of Paranoid. I saw the irony but it was fantastic.

    This one would top that...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I am by no means a die-hard fan, but I do love a couple of their albums.

Basically there are two pretty different bands: pre-Syd and post Syd. (three if you call it Floyd after Gilmour left).

the earlier stuff is the real psychedelia/prog rock, the later stuff is massive stadium art show. both can be good, but very different.

FWIW my favourite Floyd song is Wish you were here. Unfashionably, the verion on Pulse.
