They're good for the sort of stuff you like mate, keeps you on the same line, and paid around the same for mine. Far better spent money than a exhuast or some usless bling shit

bugger Ive just checked the model numbers: Can you confirm it is a "SD531" Steve?

"Öhlins 2.1 Steering Damper - fits full-size 2005-09 KTM offroad models with CNC billet triple clamps.
    OH-SD531"

I have the cast triple clamps and need the SD532 or SD561 according to the Ohlins site.
Is your 450 a six days model with the billet triple clamps or were you using the risers to adapt the mounting bolt holes? From what Ive seen they don't normally require risers...?

Its a SD 531 mate,my bike is just an 08 EXC,with cast triple clamps,to be honest i never tried it without the risers,so it may well fit without them, here a pic of my bike with it on..although looking at my pic i can't see how it would fit without risers

Well its good news that you have the cast clamps...I'm still keen if it works but I really don't wont to use risers...I'll give you a call in the morning. Cheers.

Ha it seems that it is the wrong one for the EXC according to the part number,i just measured the gap between the top of the triple clamp to the bottom of the handle bar clamp an it's about 26mm,the thickness of the Damper is 23mm,so it should fit, without the risers, try it out and if it's no good no drama......
