Only saw this afterwards- what he said. More twist, more go. No sudden powerbands to catch you out.

And its really nice knowing that you have that torque in reserve.

PS and do not, repeat DO NOT twist the throttle like a 250. Be very, VERY careful about it the first few times until you get used to it - we would hate to see you with a cracked skull from falling over backwards.

From the people I know who have had SV thous', the shit handling is also scary.
They all mentioned that they didn't fully realise how shit the handling was until they got new bikes. (Street Triple. GSXR750, CBRR600 and CBRR1000) When they had them they thought they handled well. Even expensive after-market suspension didn't help.
Also worthy of consideration is the problem with buying Suzukis new is the dealer's propensity to rape you with resale prices by discounting (cut the guts out of) their prices to off-load old stock when a new model comes out.
Rego costs on over 600cc bikes is ridiculous.
Not worth Tania considering one of these IMHO.
Tu Meke. Too big, too powerful, too expensive (to purchase and to run - Rego, Insurance, depreciation and so on.)
Shit load of dough to spend on a toy when there are so many alternatives.
If one is 'young dumb and full of cum' or a 120 kg rider with a habit of hauling an extra ass around you may find reasons to justify purchasing a superbike. Suggesting it for a petite lady who has just got her full licence is, at the least, not very sensible.
Atheism and Religion are but two sides of the same coin.
One prefers to use its head, while the other relies on tales.

Low speed riding is not very glamorous, but as you say, a different and still important skill.

Another thing that really works well on low speed corners is looking past the corner, and picking out a specific patch of dirt / mark that youwant to ride over on exit. Your brain then just kind of automatically works backward to make you see where/how to approach the corner. This should work for high speed cornering too, now that I think about it...

I think they were suitably impressed.

On a different note; can someone point me to some info about the upcoming Westpac charity ride?
