I hope you guys have a lot of fun. Wish i could make it, the track day is soo cheap and would love to gain some experience in a safer place.

I will probably goto watch the safe motorcycling thingy at royce hill if only i could take my bike there and ride.

Manfeild sweeper is good, nice and comfy, lots of runoff, or Taupo turn 5. Ask RDjase

Probably not the type of crashing I had in mind. But thanks for consideration... ;-)

Option 3: Ride up Sunday. Stay for racing then home the scenic route. Stop somewhere for the night then finish the trip home Monday.

Yes, I can see how that could be an option for some. But need to be at work on Monday so that is not for me.

Option 1: The two day experience; Ride up Saturday the scenic route, crash somewhere, to races Sunday and then ride back home as fast as possible. Pack toothbrush.

Option 2: The one day experience; Up and down Sunday. Stay for racing, spend as little time riding as possible. Pack nothing.

Weather and other committments will decide if #1 or #2.

Sooo... Has anyone made up their mind when to ride up?

I can ride up Saturday (have found a place to stay, could fit a few additional if housetrained)

Or I can ride up early Sunday.

Need to ride back Sunday straight after races w/o too much timewasting...

Went out to bulls clearing on sunday was a nice ride. a bit of tarmelt around but nothing bad. by the way back i started getting into a rhythm and started feeling at home on the bike.

I'm pretty sure the next bike i get will be a v twin, or torquey 4 that i don't have to rev the shit out of lol.

Even though it won't happen in ages i like the 750 shiver, dorsoduro, mana, gsx1400. I'd say all those bikes would be too big as a second bike but i can dream lol.

Dad is dead keen on a 2004 sv1000 he found on trademe hope like hell he buys it cause all he does atm is sit on trademe droolling over bikes he could buy.

has a good list of parts on it and is only 6k, done 44000. he wants to stick lower fairings on which i agree with.

First race is at approx 11.30am. 4 1/2 hours is more than ample time.
