See folks - this thread is a fine example of the evil of television.

It cracks me up when anyone who is speeding way above the limit (ie 132) has a 'excuse'.

Is it part of the police training to ask 'why were you speeding' or is it just so you can compare stories later in the week and get a prize for the best 'excuse'!

The police should start posting some of the excuses on their website - it would make very good reading.

I tried reverse psychology once,said "mate i am not late for anything, my wifes not having a baby,nobodys died blah blah i was simply speeding because it makes me feel good".Didnt work he had a laugh and wrote me out a ticket
