You dont know Puhoi obviously. If you could even get close to the open road speed limit in there, you would be world famous and probably not visiting Puhoi.

This is an iconic biker pub, frequented by the public in order to soak up the atmosphere. Dogs are welcome and a sign on the bar clearly states "If our service does not meet your expectations - lower your expectations". There is also a sign that says if we are busy and you want coffee, go to the shop. I was there last weekend, and was greeted by the owner with my personal tipple, and a comment to say how long it was since I had visited.
The worst that I have seen there is some of the finest wheelies I have ever laid eyes onand some of the loudest pipes I have ever heard
Albeit very briefly (think 100 metres at most) you can see maybe 5 of them. Our local constabulary leave the place alone, nothing ever happens there, though they do regularly breath test at the end of the road. That is fine by me.
This "complaint" is from a woman that would be able to poor a damp cloud on a wedding party, and make the bride and groom miserable. She lives in Puhoi village, there is a biker pub there. I promise it has been there far longer than she has lived there
Please try to maintain some sort of balance in your posts. The copper in you is a little bit offensive sometimes
He cant help it...
That would mean they are really thursty.
Honestly though, it so happens that, the day she mentions is the busiest day for bikes at the Puhoi Pub (Sunday) and im talking anywhere around 200 plus bikes (some would say and the rest) throughout the day. So I am guessing that, volume plus noise, equals speeding...its perception.
Next time you are up in Auckland let me know, I will escort you to the Puhoi pub for a beer/or what-have-you. My current poison is soda and lime. Then you can see for yourself. Like I said the local cops dont pay any mind to the place, primarily because NOTHING HAPPENS!
Smoke and noise.
Love the PieHoi as Fatt Maxx calls it these days.
Katman when your'e up next I'll happily take ya up there, got a date Anne.
Don't bring that Maha bugger though aye, dead turn off he is!
Every day above ground is a good day!:
Hmm, havn't actually ridden through there, is Ahuroa Road sealed + in good nic?
Puhoi is so small. Can't say I have ever seen anyone speeding around the village. The road is, well, very short.
And I would say bikers would bring in a reasonable chunk of the venue for the village. So many go to the pub for a drink.
I wonder if that complaint would like it to back to the way it was in the 80's? now that was the good old days.
Then she would have something to complain about.
Some people just move somewhere with out seeing what is around them then complain about this or that, the local cops will treat it with the time it deserves, none.
