Superb. Check out the F800GS at the end
its a 800 i think there aint o sticky out bits!I like the look of old r100 better low pipes n all
After seeing the bike at the end, I cant complain about how far my panniers stick out the side....bloody ell..
At some point they must have thought about getting her a bike to split the load?

well you aint gonna have no trip and no bike if you don't get off your bum and go and put the gearbox back in (notice the double negatives - I'm practising my south island speak).
they looked like they'd be great guys to ride with but I'm not so sure about the soft sand and heat. Give me lotsa bush and 20 degrees heat any day.
Ready here!
Good luck with the bike, Steve![]()

but at least I got the following done:
new handlebars
replaced rear shock (removed slop in top bush by inserting a rolled up bit of feeler gauge....)
replaced the sheared 12mm threaded rod that braced my footpegs (some serious garking going on down below)
replaced coolant
cleaned airfilter and removed all mud from airbox....
topped up battery and charged it
lubed chain etc etc etc
now if my new pivot pegs would hurry up and turn up I could fit them and then I'd be all set to go
roll on Friday![]()
Man that is one overloaded F800. That would handle like a pig. Havent seen a frame break there before. You can see that it has cracked along side the weld underneath then continued over the top of the frame tube. Stick weld the HPN modded frame back togetherno choice tho !
I had a top shock mount bolt come loose and damage the bolt and bush eye on my Ricor shock so I threw the standard shock back on while I waited for a new bolt to come from Japan (less than 2 weeks). An 8 thou feeler gauge wrapped around the bolt in the bush eye took up all the remaining slop quite nicely so hopefully it'll hang together.
makes you wonder why they'd bother. surely you couldn't have any fun riding loaded like that. High risk of shagging something subframe related you would think.
That luggage is insane-they appear to have missed the crate of chickens to top it off though! Possibly a good argument for leaving the missus at home?

Wow. My bike's still in the shop. I might see it Thursday....if I'm lucky.
Thursday night may be busy for me.![]()
