Being that these are funday races, is it safe to assume that the tracks will be reasonably friendly for someone who's never raced before (and is fat, old and slow)?

they are all in Maize or other crop paddocks, they are flat tracks, they are ideal for all abilties, and we get people from first time mx riders to top 10 national riders at them, the tracks a flowing and awesome fun, ill try to find oldguys helmet cam video from last year

Perfect, I've been tempted to try my hand at something like this, but have been put off by potentially scary mx tracks and the element of competition making me ride beyond my limits.

    I'll enter then!

Whatever you don't line up behind me, I tend to stall on the line.

Looking forward to doing a few rounds of this. Good fun days out.

No you sound like the perfect guy to line up behind, then I can say "Nah I wasn't scared of getting to the first corner with everyone else, just the guy in front of me kept stalling... yeah real odd I always ended up behind him on the start line, you'd think I'd have noticed and lined up somewhere else...".

How many c class riders start off at the same time?

Im rather not keen to ride into a corner with 20+ noobs hitting me and me hitting other people.

Also how many races are there?

Just the one 4-5 lap race? or heaps as throughout the day?
Fear is never a reason to quit. It's only an excuse.

there will be a minimum of 4 races per day per class,

last year we had 105 c grade riders sign on for the first one, we split them into 2 heats, but they were still pretty big,

if you do not want to start with teh main bunch, you can start behind,

I'm much the same, even just watching that vid has given me the first corner jitters... will probably start from behind on the first heat and see how I get on for the rest.

I'm still a newbie to racing, and have no fitness. Follow the 2 second rule... Start gate drops, 1, 2, then take off - you'll pass a few people lying on the ground at the first corner
