I'm also looking at busas but haven't ridden one yet, how are they with heat on the legs? What year you looking at gale?

I thought there's only two models of busa, like the '03(?)-'07(?) and a newer model. Both of which look ugly as sin. The one he had his eyes on at Cyclespot was sold and since then he's been lazy, but I'm looking forward to going out for his lunchtime testrides

edit: wiki'd the hell out of that shiz. Busas have been around since 1999? old bike for an old man; perfect aye gale? ;p

Trace - all quiet on the busa testing front, as in not happened yet actually pretty much how wanpo described it, I had an '08 lined up but it sold and since then I've been a bit slack. Need to be more proactive in my test riding.

Zeo, I'm looking at late model busas, I know the early ones have a mean reputation but I want something newer. Also, the good thing about being average height is that pretty much every bike fits me nicely

ps: wanpo = smartarse, you're gonna get all the shit jobs now

I agree they have distinctive looks but there just plain isn't another like it. Zx14 is terrible for intercity and summer days because of the heat issue and the mid range sport tourers are few and far between

Well, thanks to one and all for the good company and lack of riding! Catering to the whims of the crowd, I know how the emperors of Rome felt!

This swarm ride had the usual weirdness, met up with a new lil'ol'hornet rider (who forgot his own KB nick), talked up the usual guff about bikes, anime, RPGs and other geekdom interests.

At the restaurant, zeocen once again proved his champion pumpkin status and forgot his own pack bag! Kudos to Gale_Wolf for carting it back home and turning up to Momo tea for the last rounds of slushies! (And he got another brain freeze! Classic! )

Much food was chomped down with gusto and the usual stupid stories came out. I got to use my Leatherman to dismantle the back end of a ginny! Just turned out that the bulb needed a fiddle to get back into working order again! (spannering success!)

Will have to ride further next time, Cindy (my Predator) was feeling a little miffed at the lack of riding!

Yeah, I don't think Cammy's engine got below 90 degrees the entire ride. My legs were quite toasty by the time we got to dinner.

Count me out if we do that route again. That was painfully slow and hot. Not worth the 800m of corners.

I do recall that you were the one wanting to eat first - I was wanting to go ride a longer ride first!
