what a horrible hunk of shite
I think you'll find its 39000 miles not k's
until you've checked it out in person I wouldn't call that an awesome buy. Looks like it has been thrashed a bit. I good buy is swapping a 1975 Honda CB200 with wof/reg for a box of beers.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
All these "wee bits" missing on older bikes can quickly add up to thousands. No WOF generally means "pile of shite". If it were cheap to get it WOF'd, the seller would do it themselves. An extra grand gets you a MUCH younger bike in MUCH better condition and the extra money spent will quickly be saved.
Still...if you insist I've got a pipe, full fairing and fuggload of other spares (full frame, forks, etc) for a 600 cane.

there's a stack of runners with a wof for that money or just a little more - $1100 with no wof can EASILY end up at $2k, so you might as well get one with a wof to start. the 600cc mill is pretty bomb-proof, but the bike looks fucked. this is a WAY better buy http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-333859406.htm
Yup it looks a little tired, and may end up costing you a few thou to fix up.
they are a good bike if in good ondition, but needing a muffler, and missing the tail section on the left side,, plus its probably going to need a revin. so right off the bat you are looking at at least an extra thousand bucks. youll probably end up needing at least one new tyre, and likely need brake pads as well for a revin.
Already looking at 3k or so all up to have it legal (incl purchase) then add your time into it.
Really not that good of a deal any more is it?
Hey guys thanks for the replys, looks like its a good idea to run potential buys through here, gives a nice little reality check
Not sure if I'd pay $1100 for it, I just picked up a tidy ZZR400k for $800, just wanted a clutch and chain/sprockets all done for under $200. If you do get a project, look around for parts in the most unusual placesPlus, do what you want.
