Padmei got my spare UFO one.

There's a DR headlight but no mounts or plastics as they're on the DR and in the bin.

You could go retro cool and do a single 6" round one.
    was thinking along those lines
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

Have been looking through the catalogues and there is a retro fit 7 inch polycarb insert and the backing bit that would work. can also get the round frames like the baja designs ones that look nice too (black or chrome). Not made for bikes but if I used the frame mounts and made a bracket then it should work ok, although it may stick out a bit more than a handle bar mounted light.

Looks like the infamous doohickey (old style) has broken - balancer chain is hanging loose, so bits of the doo have possibly been caught up in the cam chain and the rest, as they say, is history.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

A dead klr has to be worth the same as a running dr

On a completely different note I've just done 1500km with some of the new mk3 pivot pegs fitted to the klr. They are a really worthwhile improvement. Make standing much more comfortable and you feel much more connected to the bike. like fitting spd's to a mountain bike.

Pivot Pegz rock, some will be going onto the DR at some stage.

On that note, whats the difference between the mark 2's and 3's? I have seen some places online actively selling both at different price points. I had mark 2's on the PD.

60mm wide is, I think, the only difference. When the peso store has been recharged some will be going onto the trailbike as well

Nice looking bike. The new front guard changes the look completely.
Is that a new end cap on a standard exhaust with the guts taken out?

Got sick of my wonky fairing so nakered it a bit. \

This is the first rough draft. has potential, but some tidying would be better.
The light is mounted to the frame not the forks.

Crappy pics, but you get the general idea.

The brief ride i went on the wind noise and buffeting was a lot less. The old fairing directed wind at my head which was annoying.

Also wouldn't wheelstand up the drive
Fatigue on long trips may be an issue though, but will keep you posted.

BTW Crim, have you ever tried riding with the screen removed? way quieter , less buffeting etc. Give it a go.
