I will no doubt be corrected

Not sayin' you're a wanker, just trying (badly) to give ya some friendly advice. Good luck anyways, good to see another Super on the grid.

If I can get 210kph on a 50yr old, 50hp 180kg steel fist. Then its not unrealistic for you cunts with your 6,000hp to expect 300..

Any club racers stepping up and doing this round at Hampton Downs?
I am thinking about doing it, but I was wondering what the fast guys opinion was on having slower guys out there who they will be lapping? My times there are well within the 115% qualifying limit but I will still be lapped during a 20 lap race for sure.
    Your thoughts please....

Just do it. If you're confident enough in your abilities to be able to qualify, you're able to race. Give it a nudge, you'll be a far better racer for it.

Yep just do it. I did it last year and learned more trying to follow Nick, Glen and Midge for a few laps than I did all weekend

Those 'pissing around' support classes pay a substantial amount towards the running of the meeting.
Many of the riders in those 'pissing around' support classes progress to more prominent classes too.

You have no proof of that.

The risks are greater for guys like Craig and Sloan who actually push the bikes near the limits. Just because you can twist the throttle up to 300 clicks on the straight doesn't make it riskier.

You'll spend twice what you would on a club meeting but you'll get little more in the way of track time. If it's F1 or F2, you probably won't learn that much as the really fast guys are in a different league (i.e. you're lucky if you can follow them through one corner) and lets face it, there's hardly any mid-pack club racers doing the nats to get any insight from. If you get in the way of a couple of faster riders lapping you at the nationals you've a higher chance of getting punted off your bike.

    BULLSHIT!!!!!

if you do a couple of rounds you'll find stroudy, bugdin, stauffer, smith, or any of the other fast chaps in other classes aren't defying the laws of physics. Their good but its nothing impossible. They just have a good setup (better than most, even if they moan) and do everything right more often than not.

and if guys can lap you, then there going fast enough that getting round a lapper is the least of their concerns. If you just do your thing, their good, smart and confident enough to ride up the inside or outside of you and they'll do all the work. You wont be the first guy any of the properly fast guys have lapped.

you'll learn next to fuck all from a mid-pack club racer. wanna be fast, ride with fast guys. Learn what they do, what makes them fast, most will willingly give you pointers and help, its ur job to listen, learn and practice. if you can't keep within a short shot of the quick guys for a corner or two, you wont be able to qaulify, and its just a question of accepting your not ready, practicing and coming back next year.
