not entrapment. They didn't trap him into doing those speeds and things, they just followed and filmed him. He will enjoy telling his mates that it is him in the vid.

Gross negligence can be murder, but in general negligence just results in manslaughter. Recklessness that is reasonably foreseeable to result in a persons death could be murder.

He had his carbs tuned for the less dense air global warming was going to produce, unfortunately its been cold since so the bike has been running way off song so he was used to giving it plenty of throttle with little result. I would hazard a guess in true KB style that on the day in question it was a hot day so the bike was running on song catching him out with sudden but unintentional bursts of power.

I think the bastard is a public hero for controlling such a feral bike.

Geez mate careful, our government might think it was a good idea. Last thing we need is all our speed zones dropping another 10 or so km/h.

Takes long enough as it is to get to work! Two zones here to SH1 have already been reduced 20km/h each. Pine Valley Road and the Waitoki township. Both needless, except directly outside the school.

If people took it easier with braking and acceleration, they will find they make good savings there alone. Top speed cruising is fairly immaterial for 10km/h differences - I measure my fuel use at various incremental speeds to test it.
