Good call on the torch, long nose pliers, kneadit & webbing strap. As ww mentioned to me we should all carry some & put together can be very useful.
tube repair patch & glue doesn't take up much room for a long trip.
In life as in dance Grace glides on blistered feet

toothbrush (great for cleaning mud/dirt off fasteners)
    syphon hose
    tow strap (6m x 25mm tube webbing)
small spray bottle of lens cleaner (for visors, goggles & bead lube)
The bag is only 10cm wide!
It's actually a Kriega Stash Wallet. For putting money, cards, passport and cellphone in.

And is that allen key thingy the right size ?
The allen key thingy is a pushie one and it's perfect and I've been had it for about 20 years.

    Kneed it is in.
Screwdrivers are on an adapter for the 1/4 drive.
    Pressure gauge is in.
Circlips for the DR sprocket are in.
Patches, glue and sandpaper are in.
    Needle nose pliers are in.
    Cable ties are in.

    Need another smaller allen key.

It's like the Tardis in there

The smaller one than the pushy ones.
I've got one but another means my set in the big toolbox is still complete.
The only screws that need it are on the hand guards. I may just find some screws that use a bigger size.

Ah, 4mm, yep got a few of those. Seems everything that ships with 4mm allens includes a freebie key! My favourite is a nice T-handle job from Roebuck that came with a Compaq server rack.

btw I also have one of those nifty 5/6mm allens, also came with a pushy but it lives in my pushy on-bike kit.
    Cheers,
    Colin

Replaced the needle nose pliers, mini vice grips and knife with a cheap multitool.

Just get a hex bit to go in the 1/4 adapter you have for the screwdriver bits. Get some in 5 & 6mm too & you'll be able to ditch the double ended allen key thing. A 3mm is handy too for the carb drains on some bikes.

I have the basic on the bike set, then the expedition expansion pack... I'm about to lay it all out & have a re-jig of what I need. I'll take some pics for your amusement.

    Cheers

Oil change on the TT350 this evening.
A whole 1600ml of Mr Castrol's cheapest went in.

2 months, 2000km and 48hrs running since I got it.

2000 kms should use at least 8 litres of oil or it ain't a proper bike.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

Pulled the front wheel on the TT350 to change to the new (cheap) rubber and decided to clean the brake pads.
Pulled them out and squeezed the brake lever.
    One piston moved.
Put some vice grips on that one and squeezed again.
    The other one didn't move.
That'll be why it felt on par with the XR's drum then.

Pistons corroded, calliper corroded, build up of solid gunk behind the stuck piston either making it stick or pushing it sideways...

Piston and seal kit coming from Oz.

I had to use a grease gun to pop the pistons out and now have to get the calliper steam cleaned.
Once done that'll be one less reason to go to the USD front end

Also got a phone call from Placemakers saying they'd had a drill returned and I could have the battery (that fits my chainsaw - 18v 1.7A) for $40

That's not a chainsaw, more like a carving knife I reckon.

    Hmmmm...

Wonder if grape seed oil could be used instead of chain bar oil?
