    Moral dilemma

My friend has a new(ish) Harley Iron - and a fine motorcycle it is too with all it's quirks

For a while now it's alarm has been misbehaving. For instance it will come on when the key is inserted. We found out it doesn't like New World so had to push it some 50 meters away - problem solved or so we thought but it's been cropping up again.
Last time we were no where near NW but i happened to notice when I turned my Honda off the Harley alarm behaved itself

Do I tell the owner this nugget of info, let Harley sort it out or . . . . .

The alarms operate on a radio frequency from the fob. Some alarms in certain shops interfere with the signal. There's a squence of steps you take to bypass this. Get your friend to give me a call if they need reminding of how it all works.

YES. Tell the owner his bike doesn't like Hondas and screams when they come near ..

There was one time (not at band camp) that I parked my car under one of those massive power pylons and the alarm went mental. I managed to disarm the alarm and far enough away from the pylon with it only arming and immobilising once during the drive. It must be picking up RF interference from somewhere

Haha... maybe the alarm only goes off when the Honda is positioned behind it

My old Ranger Rover had an alarm that went off every time going downhill round a left hand corner in the rain. You had to turn round and go up the hill round a right corner to disable it. The final straw was went I couldn't disable it so drove the thing all the way into town (hazards flashing horn blaring) asking at garages for a place to deal with it. Not one cop car or anyone pulled me up to check if it was stolen!

It's a Penis envy thing, clearly the Harvey Donaldson can't perform when there's a superior being next to it, even if is still only a Honda!
