Only one bike....you were lucky (Think Monty python and the 4 welshmen)
I share your pain, my bikes are stored at Casbolts and I pick them up when I return to NZ for a holiday 3 weeks 2 or 3 time a year...I arrived in Chch 2 days after the quake and only got to see 2 of the 3 bikes as I was heading to the airport to fly back here.
However I was booked in to do the TT2000 and was not going to miss out on that....so a quick call to Te Waiponamu rentals and I had a VFR 800 arranged for 3 days rental

(and 4000km)....I think I may have set some rental bike record....
All three of my bikes in Casbolts fell over and were damaged to some degree.
Some good news however...a couple of days before the quake, I checked that the insurances were paid up and up to date, and recieved acknowledment that the insurance was all good...the morning of the quake...Talk about timing
Claims were lodged with Kiwibike insurance who promptly responded advising the claims were accepted...If the insurance was the shops responsibility, I expect my insurance co would have advised me to approach the shop for cover.
Kiwibike Insurance have been very good and prompt and without going into details, have been more generous than I would have expected from an insurance company.
Next trip home is July...maybe I will get to see and ride my new MTS that trip home.
Now....lets see how long it takes to get a new 1098S tricolore fairing.......
