I enjoy the sidecars. But then, they only ones I don't enjoy, are the motards. We could well do without those slow noisy pieces of crap. Unless they start making little v-twin motards (I expect they do already?) That'd solve both problems.

And enjoyed the best race meeting they have had in at least twenty years. With 41 sidecars in two classes on the best track I have ever experienced, (yep, including Philip Isl) & the Kiwis seriously spanking some 'roo butt.
I have not enjoyed a meeting as much for many years & doubt I will again until this time next year, when hopefully all the Kiwi chair teams can come & have the same buzz.

That thing was a piece of shit. Before the call for Clubmans he was down the end of the skid pan creating huge clouds of smoke. Two stokes smoke, but not like that. It was a very unhealthy looking bike from what I could tell. Then, he got out there and crashed at turn 4. Wouldn't surprise me if it seized or simply spat oil at the rear wheel.

Yeah I'd already said that it looked like it had a leaking gearbox seal and sucking oil through the engine but apparently the oil on the track was from the engine so maybe the carb was overflowing or something?

So can we assume from the cries of pleasure coming from the people who went that next season's NZ sidecar champs will be held in Australia ?

That would certainly clear up a lot of confusion.....

They didn't have to go anywhere to use their machines, while they were away there were two rounds of the National championships that they could have taken part in rather than going to Australia

There's no way they had to go to australia to race their machines. There have been plenty of racing meetings here to enter so I've no idea where you came up with that notion at all
