    You fight dirty.

Just for that I won't suggest 'Robert Monk Transport'

A long shot, Google is your friend.

Why don't you ride there with a pillion and then let the pillion ride back with you.

This pillion could be your son

    Bad idea.
Would you expect someone who has only just passed the BHS, to then pillion for approx 4 hours (Taupo - Gisborne), only to then have to ride an unfamiliar bike back the same way? Remembering that they may not be keen to exceed the 70kph thing. Meaning probably more like 5+ hours. On relatively narrow, winding 100kph roads. Which are currently undergoing a lot of roadworks.
    Bad idea.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Well it doesn't have to be his son. That's a judgement call to be made by others. However if the weather's fine, it does seem like it might have the potential to be a great day out.

All sorted.......looks like a road trip on saturday but sharing the costs with another bike that needs relocating, thanks to all for their help (especially Mstrs).....I have one spot left on the trailer if any other bike needs a tiki tour .

Yellow Dog, nice idea but somewhat impractical, my bikes a single seat and as Mstrs says, shit place to learn to ride. Thanks for the thought tho!

If I were him, I'd be hitchin'!

What is the bike? If I can persuade someone local to come, I'll ride over and we'll deliver it to taupo for gas money only. Sounds like an epic day out.
