    i hear VMCC are doing some spec 'drop one round' points system...anypne clarify/confirm this....reason.....chappys coming back

    picking up the new race bike next weekend

    Yes indeed everyones worst round will be dropped.

    Vic Club is trying to be innovative again, (like when we ran a National Round and had free spectator entry)

    In theory it will remove some of the element of "luck" from the results e.g. if something beyond your control means you can't compete or you DNF your series chances aren't blown.

    There is still the incentive to do all 6 rounds as unless you have the championship "sewn up" by round 5 (as has been done) you just don't know which is gunna be your worst round..

    It will be re-visited after the season for evaluation and may or may not be continued in future series.
