I have decided not to pay $8-$15 per shim, I have a trick up my sleeve

Hopefully will have the bike re-assembled by tonight, if this doesn't cure the noises I will get the hammer out.

Earplugs are only a 50 cents...

Are you gonna grind the shims down on an oilstone? I tried that got boring quite quickly.

That's exactly what I did, 5 hours later and I'm waiting for the battery to charge....

Might give it a rest for tonight, I smoothed my fingers down doing the shims.....

I turned the motor over by hand to get the chain tensioned etc and re checked the clearances, I think one is a bit loose, but, too bad.

I'm hoping it will....But, just to be extra sure, I'm going over the clearances again tomorrow, doing the cams/timing is a piece of piss on it thankfully

so if I have made any mistakes I can rip it all back out fairly fast, it really is quite nice to work on!
I think I'll clean the tank out too.

I look forward to riding it, I'm tempted to go out to the garage now and finish it...But, I'm doing a God father series marathon! I think we do need to go for a blat at some stage, Bogan needs to come too so we can't hear our stupid four cylinders.
