Oh. And figured would be possible to cover up the decals on the hyosung. Just dont want to do a patch job. and yea i have pretty much made up my mind. But i earn fuck all and only have 2.5k after tradein. so not yet ready to get it. Trying to find a job somewhere to help but its not easy. mainly cause i focused more on studies meaning im bloody good with computers, english and maths. but have very little experience in a work place so companies assume im useless. dam useless economy.
I know what you mean about some cruiser style bikes being bad on the back.

you can peel the existing decals off with a hair dryer, takes 5 minutes, and vinyls arent a patch job, theyre cheap to get them made and applied professionally!
are you saying you have 2.5 k after trading, or 2.5k cash, PLUS your bike? You might need to settle for ALMOST brand new, with very low Kays. You can often get bikes like that with much of their warranty still remaining, that can be transferred

You want a sports bike, and then you list a Ninja 250R and a GT250R as your options? I don't even...

2.5k after trade in. But i plan to finance it. worked it out to $50ish a week. which i can just sorta afford now but if i want to do any travelling or plan to go anywhere im screwed cause all my cash is tied up. if I can sort a job doing 10-20 hours a week then i can afford it. But need to get that job first. once i got that work for 3-4 weeks and save up everything that get bike and used the saved money from works as the weekly payments. means even if i have a bad week im still covered cause I would have the next 2-3 months of payments just sitting in the bank.

unfortunately as i said part 1 of this almighty plan is proving to be difficult. no one seems to let other no there hiring anymore unless there a massive company.

I did have an idea to set up a business reviewing items for customers but people werent very interested in paying for reviews when people could find them online if they new exactly what to search for.

Ohhh. You want the best but lack the funds? dont want to settle for 2nd best but the economy isnt helping you out?

You poor guy. How do you manage being the only person in NZ in this predicament?

Ride your GN. Save up for a 600, 5 years old, well looked after....within your likely price range. And almost guaranteed to surprise the hell out of you.

*sniff* I tried to be polite and useful and you compare my naked Bandit to a GN250... Bloody Student.

Hmm as for back pain - the Hyosung is very upright for a 'race' bike. I can choose either upright or more prone on the Bandit. I did start feeling a bit of back pain on the bike - but having looked at my body position fixed that myself. I was riding with a very arched back with my crotch right up to the tank - by sliding my butt back and straightening myself out it solved the back issue. You should be able to do something similar on the GN?

    Wow.

After this massive bitch of a thread in which most suggested bikes didn't even remotely fit OP's criteria and then the interesting personal side show; it turns out OP doesn't have the means to buy the right bike anyway.

no. its not my riding position. cuase i have moved all over the seat attempting to fix it. moving right up against the tank sort of helps but then i just feel awkward as hell. on the hyosung i was comfortable.

I wasnt meaning to compare the bike. was simply stating that i had already mention i am not a fan of naked bikes. there just not for me.

Yes im poor. But if i can get a job i can pay it off over the next two years which i fine with. plus. i dont need a 600cc size bike if i ever did i would just buy my steps dads gsxr600.

Plus. bigger bike is usually for more power and speed. i have no need for more power and speed yet. plus i could always use the hyosung deal where they trade the 250 for a 650 when ya get your full and just add the remained to your finance.

Oh. and i pretty much plan to buy new where ver possible. 2nd hand stuff hates me.

Ahhh. When you put it like that....yeah fair call.
Probably 99% people looking to buy another bike at some stage, but want to think it over, and talk about it, and maybe get others opinions - before buying it.

    Peace, and Out.

You may already have tried this but - next time you have been riding your bike for 10-15 minutes think about what shape your back is in and if it is bent straighten it. There really should be a comfortable median on a bike like that where by taking a little more weight on your arms or moving your arse on the seat you can get a comfortable position.

And pftt some people take things Sooo seriously ;p
