    Why did I think of the Keystone Kops when I read that? They must have all been doing circuits around the one way while the bloke hid his bike behind the pump. Good job he fell off otherwise he would have got it serviced in Invers, turned round and made the midday sailing in Picton.

    And why would somebody from Invers and heading that way suddenly want to get on the 'midday sailing in Picton'?

    Hmm, after running for four hours + I doubt he'd have been keen on heading north again for that distance..he'd be knackered (and was) and his riding would be shit (and was).
