ACC LEVY
Just to let you peeps know that sometime next month, provisionally I believe to be 18 Jul - 15 Aug, ACC will be carrying out a public consultation on levy's. This is your opportunity to give some constructive criticism of how unfair the present system is.
Your contribution will have to be through the ACC website - www.acc.co.nz so keep your eyes open. Once I know the dates for definite, I will let you know.

Yeah, my input would be, "How do I get a refund of the ACC levy on my car, because I can't ride my bike and drive my car at the same time?"
Oh, and how have they determined that motorcyclists should pay a higher ACC levy, without any analysis of outside causes available from the N Z Police statistics on motorcycle accidents.

I cant see why they dont do it like your taxes,
Lets say you end up paying I think its like $200 for ACC levies on your rego depending,
So if you dont claim a bike related incident with ACC between the two dates of rego I.E 1/1/2011 - 1/1/2012 then you should credited (lets just say for now) 75% of the levy total towards your next rego, it would make me want to still pay rego, clearly it has some loop holes but I cant see why something like that cant be done in place.
