Can't even imagine how the hell you are all getting through all these shocks down there. Many people are saying tonights one felt bigger.

My thoughts are with you all daily, and think you are all fucking (excuse my language) incredible for being as strong as you are. Just wanted to say again there is always a spare room here in Welly if it's ever needed for a wee break. Dogs very welcome.

Hope it's a more settled night down there.

On another note I was working out east yesterday, shit man its well fucked up there, houses on all kinds of angles, mud n shit from arse holes to breakfast time... roads runing next to the avon are lower than the river now, poor bastards are the real victoms.

The water table is high again which IMO lets the tremors travel further, easier.

Even out here 80 odd k to the west of Brighton we're feeling them now where previously we didn't. The two close together round 11pm woke me up - combined they gave a long rolling - lasted about 1 1/2 minutes...

Felt the 5.3, didn't feel anything else, I reckon I'm pretty much in the best of the areas close to Chch as there has been minimal damage out here the whole period we've been having them

I only picked it as 4.8 here in Parklands. A lot of noise but I noticed the TV hardly even got a wobble on. Fish tank sploshed around a bit though.

Not going to feel them for the next week either. We're off to Rarotonga for a week leaving tomorrow (volcanic clouds permitting). Tsunami anyone?

I note they've moved the location of the 5.3. Last night they were showing it as being near Little River now they got it near Halswell. No wonder you felt it so much D.

I love the ones that roll for ages like that, a lot less scary than the ones that kick your arse out of the blue.

Fair enough, makes a big difference where you are when they happen too. At least the rollers ease you into it, the ones that smack like a hammer are a bit confusing for the first few seconds

Seems like the rest of the East Coast and inland just get a little shake around to remind us how lucky we are and to keep us on our toes!

Just big enough to say, ..... watch it, you might be next!

Thinking of you guy's up there!

Yeah, I was talking to Buddha earlier that evening when we felt quite a noticeable jolt that was centred between Rakaia and Methven, Buddha who is out Brighton way didn't even notice it
