Thumbs up HD built for comfort or speed or both?

One month only on Heritage so far. Although a cruiser and feels like riding a couch on Harley Davidson, I feel its slower on acceleration then the Triumph and my Yamaha. Once up and running though HD, I get the speed on..
so comfort 9/10, 7/10 for acceleration HD

    What do ya reckon?

Susan Boyle. She'd be soooo gratefull. The paper bag would have Megans picture on it and the dozen stubbies that were in the bag would help.

Oh and as for your Question, Depends on the bike but as for mine it's (120 k and below) comfort ! (Above 140-180 k) niether !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Heritage was designed for looks by the marketing department so it was compromised from the very start

Best Harleys (big twin) were designed by the engineering department (read Eric Buell before he did his own thing), the FXR and FLT series, handle better and these frames handle better and can handle far more power than the softail frame

Comfort and Performance - best compromise for a Harley is FLT / FXR frame with a large s&s motor

Acceleration 7/10? Is it a Vespa grading system?

Irritant factor is pretty bang on though

No ... you suggest the choice is between what looks good, or what sounds good ... I believe it's in the ride that counts ... and that is an individual choice ...
