Todd is stuck at work so he can't make it either. Looking likely that no one is planning on riding tonight so I will stay home.

Bari Bari Densetsu is velly velly good!

Wow Wanpo, since I couldn't go riding tonight, I watched your subbed anime.

Dang, it is a classic - it should be made into a real film! I won't go into too much detail to ruin the good bits for everyone else to watch it later!

Definitely a labour of love, lots of passion went into the making of this anime - even though there was repeated anime ( a staple of anime hehe ), I have to say - very impressed by the whole production.

Really made me want to go jump on my bike and go riding (though not as insane as those two!)

Brilliant job with the subbing, really had the feel of the anime!

We will have to do a screening when the weather is too rotten (as if!) to ride in - biker movie night!

Dear Trace, since you have been away for so long - you haven't heard of Wanpo's labour of love in translating a japanese animation about motorbikes ...

and to give you a taste of what it is ... check this real life version of it!

Cool, glad you liked it. Did you pick up on many spelling/grammar mistakes?

Trace: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZeLuXkfqm8 that's the opening (the non-translated one) an avi is a video file.

When GW's finished watching it, I'll see how many grammar corrections he's made and do an encoding to integrate the subs into the video (I'm thinking classic yellow block font) Then I'll make a throwaway youtube account and post it up. (and chuck the whole file up on mediafire or something)

    Oh yeah, ride report.

Showed up at the library and was flabbergasted to see Trace waiting there. Turns out she was half asleep and sleep-rode her way in. After a short wait nzmikey turns up with Charlotte (who is now fixed). We realise no one else will be joining us, so we decide to get right into it, skipping a dinner stop and heading north. Off the Northern at Greville, we headed down towards Paremoremo, stuck behind a cager most of the way. Up through the twisties and on to Peak Road/Old North. The upgraded +50 high beam was doing its job, but still points at the ground in the tight left handers.
Stopped at Kaukap for a yarn and Mikey's Smoko, the tavern keeper wondering if we were actually going in, or remain at the enterance scaring patrons away. We chose the latter.
Then cut across dairy flats (heading down and back my new favourite road, which I don't think I could have ridden much worse) down albany highway, splitting up by the shell. Trace almost looked ready to fall asleep on her bike, so we skipped evening pleasantries and headed home.

Geez Trace, hope what Wanpo wasn't as bad as he said! Sleepy riding? Good to hear some people managed to get some riding in!

Hope next week will be business as usual (but it seems eating always gets in the way first! )

Hahahaha I wasn't that bad... was just happy to be riding! and I didn't hold you up any, i was just cruising behind ya, so hope you know by now not to worry about me! but yes by the end, with the straight stuff my energy levels were dying a little ;-)

and when i turned up and no-one else was there was wondering whether the ride had been cancelled or meet point changed - since I hadn't been on here to check! but really it was just cause you are all slackers! your loss... you missed out on taking the piss out of me and my gixer... which i was quite pleased about! :-P
