Maybe they could race with sidecars?? As long as they are not on track with F1 I dont mind

Seriously though proper supermoto would be sick!

My point being is that they should be investigated and restrictions (as per pro twins or any other class) placed on them to keep the racing close. Most of the bikes I mentioned are hobbled by their crappier brakes/frame/forks/wheels. Shit, lets have midified cruisers in there if the racing is still close.

I like the idea of a class that's a useful step up between 125 and F2. F3 in its current state isn't. Tinkerers etc are all fun etc but the point is to get bums on the grid and keep the manufacturers happy. Even if it wins, Suzuki aren't gonna have an Ozzy 450 triple or an SVR650 in their advertising any time soon.

Put em in F2 and see how happy the 600 riders are dicing with them.

Look, they've got their own class. They could even have a 2nd class if they didn't choose to be such poofters and not do proper motard racing (you know, wet bits, mud and jumps like the folks who invented the sport).

Fuck yeah sidecars boys would be keen, I've done mixed practice sessions and it can be "interesting"

I don't see why people should be against people cross entering bikes. Surely with all the effort that goes into getting down to attend and what not, that more racing time for people would be good for the sport; especially considering small numbers in NZ. Besides, there are a number of bikes that can be entered into post-classic and F3.

To me, it sounds like there have been a few wingers and spoil sports that aren't man enough to handle mx bikes with less than half the power giving them the learn. I know that people can't even handle that fact on the road with all the shiny sports bikes suffering from the red mist trying to ride with motards. Sounds like it's about people's egos.

What's even more pathetic is this banning the foot out style mentality. This is surely just the excuse that all the old codgers have clung to in order to rid motards. The foot goes out no further than the shoulders and on a motard you sit on top of the bike, not hanging off the side. If anything they are a more narrow object on track than a bike and rider in the hang off style. Quite simply, what a load of bollocks.
...Full throttle till you see god, then brake.

I've been road racing dirtbikes probably longer than anyone else here, and you'll never change peoples attitude toward them.

I enjoy riding motards, as far as all you guys thinking they are faster then a road bike (on a road race track) then you are wrong. Some motard riders are better then road riders... Simple!

For those that think its not a safety thing with a guy on a motard racing against a road bike, ill borrow a motard and you come out on a racebike and ill show you a block pass moto style.

I got taken out by a motard (when i was passing him around the outside) he crashed his bike slid under mine, wrecked my bike put a hole in the radiator overheated warped the head and soften the block so the threads were poked. His bike had some scratches on the plastic.

The fact that its so much easier to make an aggressive pass and the fact that you dont have to worry about $$$ damage makes them inappropriate to race against sportsbikes imo

The no foot out rule is stupid, they seem to enforce this rule even in the motard only classes??

YUP VMCC two years ago they stopped us when we came into the pits (after the race) told us to turn off the engines and said "this is a roadracing event and under no circumstances can you put your foot out" Motards where the only ones racing.

    WHAT A COCK !!

of course we called his bluff and we all put our foot out.

just shows the anti motard crap out there.

Paeroa and Wanganui F3 or Motard lol, like thats hard to think about.

What I hate about Choppa tho is when he rode my Motard at Taupo and I rode his GSXR1000 (his dads one) and I struggled keeping up with him, such an ASS that man !!
Ive run out of fucks to give

Id have a supermoto bike in a heart beat if instead of complaining about wanting to ride in a class other then there own is if there was some more effort put into getting some proper supermoto up and going!

How many of you motard riders are supporting the 2 hour supermoto at Taupo? If you are and want a partner let me know haha I think I got 2nd or 3rd last year with Ollie
