    I started watching Race to dakar tonite, got all inspired about doing a proper xc event & wondered if there was any mx / enduro riding techniques videos that could ahem helpme with my hillclimbing techniques

    Dunno 'bout hillclimbing specifically but I have Shane Watts' "Dirtwise" xc/enduro skills vid.

    1 Pick the right line.
    2 Nail it.
    3 Stop nailing it when you get to the top or crash. (whichever comes first)

    I think you hit it on the head with rule no 1. You & Nordie always seem to find the right line- albeit at different speeds. Of course I wasn't riding with a trials rear
