Not often you get something for free... but I'm looking at taking on some clients on a pro bono basis. Thought this might be a good place to put some feelers out.
What do I get out of it? I have spent the last 6 months or so developing a Content Management (CMS) which is basically a framework for quick deployment of websites. It all looks very promising so now I'm stepping up a gear and starting to advertise etc. However before I do so, I need to be able to show commercial clients that it works! So I thought the best way to do that, rather than build 'demo' sites is to offer my services to organisations which might not otherwise be able to afford to build a website.
What do you get out of it? Given enough time, I can build pretty much anything you need. My background is in analysing and developing software based around complex workflows, so I am used to the process and techniques involved. That said, a simple web-presence site is no problem either. And it's FREE!
The catch: Your organisation must be NON-PROFIT; schools, clubs, charities etc are fine. Individual sites (e.g. sports people) will also be considered (especially bikers lol). This is for the benefit of those organisations who can't necessarily afford it - if you want a business site developing would be more than happy to talk, but it would be on a cost basis.
I won't go into more detail here, if you've read this far and are still interested let's have a chat. Email me (address below) with your phone number if you like and I'll get in touch.
Feel free to pass this on to any friends/colleagues/enemies who might be interested.
