You're too good. hmmm...Since I have my alu bars on and they are doing the job...lets see if someone else needs them first and share the love...otherwise, I'll definintely take your fine workmanship...I think you've done a great job there.

PS was hoping to have been able to catchup with you on the MMMMM...but work is f'n nuts at the moment...I look forward to when we can meet.

Hi vegeman...love your work May I suggest loosing the boat anchor/nuke reactor exhaust at some point. If you got large cheque book then I would go for the Ackro followed by Wings ...........FMF are cheap but need repacking from time to time which is a pain in the hiney . where you get the bash plate from?

I had a top box on mine but it ejected into a 1000 peices of plastic and clothing after a missjudged series of whoops in long grass followed by brief flight and not so soft landing! lucky there was someone to tell me it was missing 2k up the road . Any thing on the back now gets bolted or tiedown racheted on

Hope ta see ya on the trails some time

Thanks...yes, its coming along nicely. Have been thinking about the high temp oven extender but they are f'n expensive. I actually like the bike being quiet and stealthy so I'll wait until I burn myself more. Hey...looks like either replacing it or leaving it on will burn a hole in your pocket

My next big investment is another set of enduro wheels so this way, I have more choice on my dual sport tyre selection

I bought my plate from www.flatlandracing.com $95US + $34US frieght...pretty good price...and is a good fit (I might need to add a damper or something to it though...it seems to act as an amplifiyer for engine drivetrain noise...so at times it makes me feel that my engine is running bad :-)

..yeah I have heard the metal plates casue some echoing...some people have fitted coarse foam in between the plate and the engine which also helps keep out stones etc, I understand it works ok but would imagine you would need to clean out regularly?

    Pillion pegs

I'm keen to hear from some of the 2011 Enduro R owners if their scoots came with pillion pegs?

What about the rear mudguard grab handles, std. or optional?

    Thanks.

I whipped them up in a hurry so they're not super pretty if you look too close but they're quite strong & fully tested through 4500km of adv touring. Yours for the cost of freight.

Too much time on my hands.....so redesigned the fairing support over the weekend. Trying to make some room under the dash for some more gadgets . The main difference from the previous setup is the headlight is now fixed to the fairing. Hope to have it all back together by the weekend and maybe a test ride

I had an idea (dangerous I know) what would I need to make an electric operated headlight adjuster? The head light on the 690 has a simple adjusting screw with an alan key setup....how hard would it be to bang a small elecrtic motor on the end of it and a switch to screw it forward and backwards ?? so handy when ya loaded up and the headlight is pointing towards the moon...just push a butten and drop it down a bit...is this possible or should I add this to my already large pile of discarded "million $$$" ideas??

hmmm, I'd say a lot of work. Sounds cool tho...but maybe get a version working where you can adjust it with a finger/knobby thing...and then make it electric if you find that you are doing it regularly.

I think you need to start taking things off your bike, not adding more.
Is the 690 not complex enough for you yet?

I have been resisting the urge to buy the Rally Raid tanks for mine.
I was thinking Rally Raid Tanks, new exhaust & touring screen in prep for my south island trip next year.

I plan to be down here (I am in Fairlie a the moment) for most of jan/feb, I have a few things which shall require my attention up north during that time, so I shall be doing a bit of up/down action (flying), but I intend to have my bike down here for most of jan/feb, and enjoying it as much as possible during that time. Hope to catch the dusty butt, and the ADV rally. I will be bringing a tent & gear so plan on doing some remote/outback'n.

You know the RR tanks won't fit on your bike with the safari thank eh! I doubt I will be getting them, more likely I will just get a 5l plastic fuel can mounted to clint's racks somehow.
