You know you're getting old when...

You watch a movie on TCM (old classic movies channel for the benefit of those without Sky) but can remember seeing it as a new release at the movies ('The China Syndrome' today).

    Anyone else like to share?

When ya can't read the instructions on electronic gimoz 'cos the writing is so small and full of wierd symbols.

'On' Off', 'AM/FM' 'Shortwave' '45' 'L.P.' etc was always so easy to read back then...

It was only the third time, honest! The first two times were old B&W WWII movies I'd not seen before.

When you start a thread titled "You know you're getting old when..."

(plus a youngster would have titled it "U no yor getin old grandpa!")

When you go to KiwiBiker and someone has started a thread about "old bikes" which you can remember when they were first released ... because you were riding at the time

There are some great movies on TCM. Kubrik, Ford, Hitchcock etc etc.
And there is plenty of dross too.

    Some art transcends time.
