seeing he just got it, I'm guessing it was mostly around suburbs riding, so it would have been low gear starting/stopping the whole way

Lol nah but have to admit i have been giving it a bit of stick being my new toy and all also the dealer "filled" the tank prior to purchase to who knows how much went in there.

Shes choco now so see how this tank goes, like i say i put 13 liters in which filled it to the brim these have a 16l tank dont they? That would be quite a big reserve.

Naw I live in Pukekohe and work in Manukau so mostly motorway and today cruised threw Pukekawa to see mum and threw Onewhero to Port Waikato where reserve kicked in and had to head back to Tuakau fior gas was fun!

Missed my riding dearly! So any other Hornet 250 riders care to let us know what sort of k's you get from a tank?

    Thanks for you numbers Mikey!

My particular lil'ol'hornet gets 160km on the main before I have to flick to reserve for a top range of 240!

Mind you, if you are giving it the berries, I've had it flicked to reserve at 130! Though I have run out of gas around 220km once!

Riding conservatively ... 180km for a top range of 260km

Oh ok, so the 155km i got on this first tank isnt abnormally low thats cool that was my main concern that maybe something was wrong and the bike is more thirsty than it should be, the curiosity came from my FZR400 getting 350 from a tank (18l).

Wow so you almost used the entire tank! Thats awesome lol, so hey biggest question here for me is how many k's did you do on the reserve? What was your trip meter at when u put the 15.5ltr in?

So yeah pretty happy with that just need to figure out how far reserve can go now! Might carry a tank of gas to test it
