Well my very first race, I did the solo, and it might be my last. 42 is a bit old to start I think.

1st lap dropped it up the first hill and it didn't get much better from there.
2nd lap dropped it down a bank and had to spend 10 mins getting it out.
3rd was my best untill i started cramping.
4th What the fuck was i thinking? took nearly an hour due to massive cramp in all muscles. Ran out of drink about 10mins into last lap.

To all I held up sorry, I did try and get out of you way.
Thanks to all for a fantasic day.

    Bring on the next one

You did better than me.....thank god I didn't do the solo, I would still be out there!

Despite actually making an effort to prepare it was one of those days where nothing seemed to work, I was all over the track and stuffing up things everywhere.
First lap was crap and it went downhill from there, I think I did something like 43 minutes, Andy 36, me 56? then Andy 39, the 200 ate it's coolant on the first lap so we both used the 525 for the other 3 laps.
I have however got a wonderful bruise from a headbut on a tree, I should be able to milk that for a week or so.

Great event tho, thanks to the organisers and workers today, you all put in a huge effort to make it run so well.

I was wondering what that red line on your forehead was from Oh and your 525 lap was 53 not 56.

How'd you scrape half the number off the headlight of the 525??

    Was me mister....sorry!

I lost the front on a downhill and thought the bike had missed the tree, my head didn't. Might be time for a new helmet, it's looking a bit sad with some bits missing.

It probably was, I caught my back bake lever and twisted it right around under the bike so no back brake. Stopped at the pits after lap 2 pulled it back around then at sometime did the same but this time it was right above my foot peg so i either rode with the brake on, with my foot sticking out or sat down and balanced on my toes.

At least i didn't damage me.

I doubt it felt a thing! We actually came 95th overall and 11th in the vets (not last )

(I'm not sure how much credit I can claim for that result)

I havent ever done any races before and was thinking about doing the 2 man at the end of the month. Are the races super competitive? and are there heaps of places to pass? (read for people to pass me).
