I could buy the bike off you, pay cash, take you to court saying it was falsely advertised at doing high speeds then walk away with your bike and $10K.

Its one of those things, you can be all talk as much as you want. But when you actually go to sell the bike you have to be upfront and honest or you could be screwed.

I think that the claim of 317 klicks was a typo - 217 klicks is believable ... I've seen that on my Bandit 650 and given the speedo discrepencies I'd expect a Gixxer 600 to top that by a little ...

He should have owned up to the mistake instead of bullshitting around

That's way too close to the max indicated speed limit for my tastes. As far as I know, my bike only does 80.

. i have now done some research and have concluded that it would have been highly inaccurate.(hence i was wrong) i have since re attempted this with the new standard gearing with the bike naked and i can not exceed 261kmh at the top of the rev range in 6th.

so all you assholes out there that bagged on me can all go fuck yourselves and start acting like grownups . although the thread was quiet entertaining to read.

Isn't it morally wrong to not warn people of a dodgy deal? The only reason this thread got the attention it did, was because the seller specifically mentioned KB forums as if that would help his sale credibility. It wasn't started because of the 318 km/h crap. (It sure helped though).
