Mt Wellington this weekend (end of July)

Hahah brilliant !! He was bloody smug as Tim showed him the lap times from the day on the lap top and he went 1sec faster than I went in morning practice on his bike

It was great to see a smile on lots of faces today ... YOU R NOT A BAG!! but a great sport and a F5 contender ...I'm glad both the new F5 bikes went well all day .My bike will be back together for the next race so its ready for Wellington

Great day at the track. Bloody close hard racing in all grades as far as I could see, things seem to be stepping up every meeting. 50 or so entries on the day and overflowing grids, lots of new faces again and most people seemed to be having fun.
On the down side a bit of carnage today, lots of crashing in both A and B grade, probably a side effect of overflowing grids, things were pretty tight on track the first couple of laps and nobody was being all that polite. Great fun all round and hopefully the fallers all heal fast.

Cracker of a day!
Did feel like stock cars in mid pack which wasnt cool, and the number of accidents

Maybe greater spacing on the grids, or less bikes per row could help? That first points race crash at turn 3 looked like a moto2 pile up, there were at least 4 bikes on the track and a couple more in the grass.
Big thanks to everyone who helped me out through the day. (there were a few, it was one of those days

) for the second year in a row Ray saved me from going home early from round one, cheers mate.

That sentence could only ever be seen in an F4 bucket race report.
This weekend was a bit of a step up from B grade but it was much more .... challenging, I felt a bit like I was inside a pinball machine through the first few corners but that sorted itself out fairly quickly, A grade take no prisoners and are more than happy to take a gap that is not there in all but their minds, Henk, but he made it stick and no one fell off so just remembered that one for next time
( thanks Rick for the better line as it helped keep Glen and Henk behind me in the last race )

Interesting day all right, hope everyone hurt heals real soon, never nice to people carted away.

Fisrt day in A grade and its sooo much faster. I am glad that there are othrs in A grade who are about the same pace as me so I will not be last every meeting. My fatest lap on Henks lap timer (thanks for that) was 32.31 which was about the same as the bike that won the B grades.... I wonder if he will be B grade next meeting!!!

I have to say that being able to follow faster riders certainly makes you work harder to go faster...
getting lapped certainly freaks me out!~!!

does anyone know how Steven Tomin is, my boy fell in front of him, giving Steven no chance of missing him, & he came off alot worse, my boy went to see him before the ambulance got there so hope he is ok

Hoping Damien will post at some stage to let us know how he is.

Craig's accident was similar, with someone binning in front of him and nowhere to go but down - and him coming off worse.

The bro' is sore but fine. He was off work today but expects to go in tomorrow. He hit the fallen bike, went up in the air, landed on his head and shoulder, and afterwards found his arms were weak, though he could move them. The medics were concerned about possible neck damage but after many X-Rays he was able to go home with just a bandaged wrist and some pain killers.

As a result, I missed much of the exciting racing and potential photos! Here are a few photos - I will upload the rest later.

And tell Steven, I'm trying to remember his name, but have Peter stuck in my brain and maybe this way I'll get it right (not guaranteed, I'm just terrible with names, I'm always amazed if I remember someone. A colleague was way not impressed with me last week when I called him the wrong name, I've only worked with him for about a year).

Craig's hoping to be back for September, but we're thinking probably October. Wonder how much grief his boss will give him. lol

Ohh a protest here,,, I am down as a dns in the last race when I can vividly remember finishing just in front of you and Glen, I think a recount is in order!!

Yeah saw that, you might want to take it up with someone next meeting. Of course I don't mind if they stand as it puts me ahead of you. You rode damn well all day for your first outing in A grade, next meeting should be interesting since you don't know that track direction all that well.
